I am a Professor-Researcher at El Colegio de Jalisco and Director of the Social Science Experimentation Unit (UECS). My research examines political behavior, public opinion, and political psychology, focusing on violence, corruption, migration, discrimination, and misinformation in Latin America.
I earned a B.A. in Psychology from UNAM and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Vanderbilt University, specializing in comparative politics and quantitative methods. My work combines surveys, experiments, qualitative interviews, and comparative analysis to understand how citizens respond to insecurity and weak or distrusted institutions.
I have published more than twenty academic studies in journals including Comparative Political Studies, Political Behavior, Political Research Quarterly, and International Migration Review. I am a Level I member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers.
